Norman Steisel Served As First Deputy Mayor Of New York City

From 1990 to 1994, Norman Steisel was First Deputy Mayor of the City of New York. He was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the city government responsible for daily management of all governmental operations, and the overseeing of a $30 billion per year operating budget, and a four-year $20B capital program. He turned back the 10-year-long direction of local taxes eating up a rising share of GCP (Gross City Product).
